The first interaction between Kashaf and Zaroon occurs when Sir Abrar takes Kashaf’s introduction on her first day at college, during which Zaroon intervenes in a humorous manner. To counter, Kashaf reciprocates sarcastically on Zaroon’s turn. Following this, the rivalry between Zaroon and Kashaf begins, as Kashaf rendered Zaroon speechless during Sir Abrar’s class by outwitting him in arguments.
Then Zaroon responds with a fake display of love towards Kashaf to lure her. This is revealed when Kashaf overhears Zaroon discussing his plans with his friends in the library. Another altercation breaks out there. Then how both of them develop emotions for each other, read the novel to know.

The novel was such a hit that Hum TV made a drama based on it. Where Fawad Khan played the character of Zaroon and Sanam Saeed played the role of Kashaf Murtaza.
