Abbas, the cousin of both Aleezay and Umar and also a bureaucrat, is another crucial character in the story.

Summary of Amar Bail’s Novel
Aleezay Jhangir, living in the house of her maternal grandmother, suffers from an inferiority complex when she observes the lives of her other cousins. She was mainly inspired by her male cousin, Umar Jhangir. Umar Jhangir joins the police department of the civil service after passing the exam through corrupt practices with the help of his father, who was also a bureaucrat. Umar takes every measure to protect his loved ones and family.
