Hence, Namal became Nimra Ahmed’s best-selling novel. It was first published as a series of episodes in the Khawateen monthly digest. In 2017, the author published the novel by Ilm o Irfan Publishers.

The novel revolves around various characters, but the main characters are Faris Ghazi as an intelligence officer, Zumar Yousaf as a district attorney, and Sadi Yousaf as Faris Ghazi’s nephew. Hashim Kardar, a professional lawyer and businessman, and Haneen Yousaf, Sadi Yousaf’s younger sister, are also important characters in Namal.
